B.O.L.O.
BOLO (be on the look out) is a police term usually referring to someone who's just done something wrong and they'll more than likely be in the immediate area looking to score again or flee the scene, etc. Well, I went to School Products today (again) and scored some really kick-ass cashmere in fingering/sport weight. (hey Iris - they have some more of that green) Two different greys, and NOW I NEED A PATTERN! So please be on the look out for me...help! Fair isle is cool, intarsia, in the round, whatever....I have 250 yards, so any advice would be appreciated. I just know it screams a two-color cashmere hat. Or not.

Brooklyn Tweed has a lovely hat pattern http://tinyurl.com/28vqb6
He used 4 colours, but I expect you could use two... or buy even more yarn.
Thanks very much for enlightening us about BOLO: I've always wondered about that when reading detective stories.

Oh, THAT bolo. I was so glad to hear you weren't making a bad fashion statement. (Bolos and two stepping are so 1993.)
Whew.

No clue. Is that helpful?
I'm so obnoxious.

I was going to suggest Brookyln Tweed's pattern as well. You would rock that hat!

I really like knitting Odessa (http://www.magknits.com/feb06/patterns/odessa.htm). It's only one color... and I think it calls for DK weight. But, the finished product looks really cool.
Although... it actually doesn't look good on me or any of my friends who have tried it on. o_O
