DEFY, DENY, DASH, DORK
I LOVE this hat. Malabrigo + quick = MAD LOVE
You know how brims of hats can sometimes be problematic, because they let in air? Well, this brim is made up of a couple alternating rows of front/back post dc's and a couple rows of sc. The sc's pull it in a bit, and it snugs up. Love it. ok, none of that made ANY sense whatsover.
I think I will only be making hats out Malabrigo (worsted) from now on. I have this problem when I wear hats for a long time that the brim makes my forehead itch. But this yarn seems to be the antidote. I actually wore it around in my apartment last night. So soft. I don't know what's in that yarn, but I'm sure it's along the lines of what's in that fast food restaurant's french fries.
A little better picture of Dash (that's what I'm calling it) that's not so "arty":

Oh that's really cool. I like it. I still need to get me some of that Malabrigo.

Gorgeous hat! On a breezy day like today, I'm sure you're nice and toasty.

Color me intrigued, John. How the heck did you make that? It looks like a big scrummy cone of delicious gelato in all the best flavors. I want one!

I knit a sweater in Malabrigo which I love and hate at the same time! It's the softest sweater ever, but it pills like crazy.
I have 1 skein left which I think will become a hat with ear flaps. Maybe it will pill less on top of my head :)

The lighting in the first photo is great. Malabrigo is my first choice for hats as well. I have one that I'll wear to bed sometimes, not because I'm cold, but because it's so soft.

I have 2 Malabrigo hats and I wear them all the time. But I agree with Ella about using it for sweaters. I knit one (very expensive) sweater from it and it's a complete fuzzball. I can only wear it for shlumpfing around the house.

Malabrigo is SO SOFT. It's like spun cotton candy -- like it will dissolve into sugar in the rain.

Oh my!
Hi there, got here from a link elsewhere [I think it was under "Guys Who Knit" on someone else's blog.
LOVE this hat. Malabrigo makes me...just yum. And I must know if there was any sort of pattern for this hat?
