I'm hopelessy addicted to spinning again. I love it. Always have. I recently came across some yarn called "Aida" from Bouton D'Or. It's a two ply yarn, loosely spun, with contrasting colors in each ply. Gorgeous stuff, but prohibitively expensive. For me, anyway. So, I had the bright idea of making my own. Then, I forgot about that yarn being my inspiration for making my own, and the fact I can't spend US15/ball. (yardage ain't that great) Anyway, I spun up a couple batches and then decided to kinda make my own "line" of yarn. Great idea, right? Well, John - it ALREADY EXISTS!!! Duh! Remember, jackass??!?! It's called "Aida". Anyway, I'm in love with the fact I can play and make my own colors. I've shown the unspun roving (100% Merino) first, then the results. I love it. Think Zara Plus, Malabrigo, Misti Alpaca....it's squishy squishy squishy, I tell ya. I think if the truth came out, Skein would say that it's because she's been BEGGING for some playmates.

I tried the red/orange in a couple different light scenerios. These seemed to be the only ones I could get half-assed right. It vibrates, ya know....
Then a couple random things that I love - first, my street I live on....I love it love it love it....It's so random and weird and colorful and trashy and warehouse-y.
Then my brother's baby's blanket. It's quite large, but simple. I'm plugging along on it because the little guy should be here any time. EEEEEEK!
